Trump just loves the Twitter. Amidst his latest Twitter diatribes against “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, Trump has incurred criticism from both Republicans and Democrats. Senator Ben Sasse (R-Nebraska) tweeted:
Please just stop. This isn’t normal and it’s beneath the dignity of your office.
2:16 PM – 29 Jun 2017
and from Senator Lindsay Graham (R-South Carolina):
Mr. President, your tweet was beneath the office and represents what is wrong with American politics, not the greatness of America.

I agree completely. Nevertheless, I say, if the man wants to tweet, let him tweet. After all, Trump has long rationalized his Twitter obsession as a way to “reach out directly” to his supporters. If he intends his tweets as a way to provide insights into his psychotic, fevered mind, and put on full display his racism, misogyny and hypocrisy then let him have at it. Let him show what a dick he is by tweeting underhanded insults to TV hosts. Let him incriminate himself by threatening a former FBI Director. Let him display his lack of intellect by ludicrous misspellings. Let him accuse a former POTUS of “wire tapping” him. Let it be known that he was an idiot long before he became president. Trump’s Twitter history paints an extremely unflattering portrait of a petty, mean-spirited man whose biggest fan is himself.
As a bonus, we also get to see the poor character of his White House staff, Sean Spicer, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Tracey-Ann Conway, and others who defend his tweets as something other than 140 characters of vomit.
So let him tweet all he likes. Let him tweet his way out of the White House. The person hurting his presidency the most is himself, and the people who really want him to stop tweeting are his supporters. I, for one, welcome every vile, disgusting comment he makes because each one is another example of why he should not be president.
